Lung cancer is the second most common cancer and the leading cause of cancer deaths in the US. Our ‘Lung Cancer Screening’ imaging exam is designed to help those who have previously smoked and are at risk for developing lung cancer.  
 
As of March 2021, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force has expanded recommendations for adult eligibility for screening. Annual Screenings will now begin at 50 years of age instead of 55.  Smoking intensity has been reduced from a 30 to a 20 pack a year history. This means patients will be eligible, if they, for example, smoked one pack a day for 20 years or two packs a day for 10 years.
